Ephemera

Version 2·0·0

Ephemera is a screen saver that draws random IFS fractals, giving an ever-changing display of complex shapes reminiscent of those found in nature.

The full source code for Ephemera is available under the GPL v3 license. This means you can have a look at how Ephemera works, produce your own modified version, or use part of it in your own project.

An old version of Ephemera is also available below (version 1·2) which has more configuration available for people who want to experiment with the fractals. This version is much less efficient than the new version, however, so it is not recommended for use as a screen saver any more.

If you have a Mac you may like to try my Ephemeral screen saver which draws animated IFS fractals.
